New motor dynamics
Stepper motors provide only power at speeds far
below 3000 rpm. That's typical for stepper motors.
This is due to the fact that the inductortakes
time to become "charged" and for a magnetic field to decay.
Sensa's Inverse Servo CNC concept solves this problem and fully controls the behaviour and movement of the motor also at high speeds. A unique four quadrant current amplifier controls the currents in the motor at all speeds and (de-)accelerations. Dynamic performance of a motor is a result of the delivered power and its rotor-inertia. Power is torque x rpm. With Sensa's special amplifier the torque vs. speed curve remains linear from holding torque up to 14.000 rpm using a 60 kHz chopper frequency and high voltage. At 3000 rpm the motor has stil 80% of its holding torque. Sensa controls "look-ahead" meaning that cutting feeds remain constant under all circumstances. High speed contouring with constant feed prevent plastic from melting. The surface quality is extemely high and don't need any further finishing.
